A motorist was found to be four times over the drink drive limit after a motorway crash in South Yorkshire.

The man was behind the wheel of an Audi TT which crashed into a lorry on the A1 near Doncaster yesterday.

South Yorkshire Police said when the driver was breathalysed he gave a reading of 143mg/100ml of breath, with the legal limit being 35mg.

Her was taken to hospital for a check up and for a sample of blood to be analysed for its alcohol content.
