Car passengers 'mysteriously forget' driver’s name after he crashes into a wall and flees

Police said the Alfa Romeo, registered to an address in Sheffield, failed to stop for officers in North Wingfield before a chase began.

The driver managed to evade one car but was intercepted by another police vehicle.

Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit bikers tweeted: “Thinks he's done well getting away but is then intercepted by one of our bikers who's in a car for the night.

The post continued: “Driver escapes but left plenty of forensic opportunities behind so...be seeing you very soon.

“Three occs [sic] left in car who mysteriously forgot drivers name all issued with Covid tickets.”
