Creative media software and services company ZOO is taking aim at the Cloud with the launch of a new software platform at an international exhibition in Las Vegas.

Sheffield-based ZOO has unveiled its new ZOOcore platform at the National Association of Broadcasters Show in Las Vegas.

Chief executive Dr Stuart Green said: “We have been delighted with the feedback from early adopters of ZOOcore, who are already reporting significantly reduced administrative overheads in creative and production workflows.

“We believe that this new platform will enable us to license and deploy workflow systems more quickly and widely than before, delivering highly cost-effective solutions to our clients, while growing our base of recurring revenues and diversifying our customer footprint.”

ZOOcore is already being used by a major film studio for review and approval of artwork, a global TV network for co-ordination of advertising campaigns and a major US book publisher for preparation of eBooks.

It is also being used by a post production facility for managing creation of DVD, Blu-ray and digital products, a marketing agency for campaign management and an international printer for job processing.

Clients have told ZOO that its new Cloud-based software eliminates many administrative overheads and enables robust and reliable collaboration, cutting the time it takes to get a product to market and reducing operating costs.
