COULD this be the end of the notorious ‘wind tunnel’ at West One?
Sheffield architects Coda Studios have drawn up plans for doors at the rear of the prestigious development aimed at reducing the ever- present gusts.
They include a new rear entrance with doors, two new glass walls and a green roof aimed at encouraging wildlife.
Coda’s managing director, David Cross, said: “At the moment, with no protection at either end of the piazza, the effect can be rather like sitting in a wind tunnel, even on the mildest day.
“Doors will reduce this problem.”
