A new networking group in Barnsley aims to bring a new meaning to ‘close-knit business community’ - by encouraging members to do crafts at the same time.

The ‘Crafty Business Networking Group’ offers knitting, sewing, crafting or jewellery-making and has threaded together 60 members in three months.

It was set up by Barnsley-based graphic designer and illustrator Steph Cronin.

She said: “We thought it would work in Barnsley’s close-knit creative and digital economy too and have been delighted to attract more than 60 members already.”

Her business, Black Bee Creative, is supported by Enterprising Barnsley, a European-funded programme delivered by Barnsley Council.
