MOTORISTS are warned full enforcement is to start on the new Hillsborough permit parking scheme in Sheffield.
The scheme was launched a week last Monday.
However, for the first two weeks, drivers have been issued with warnings rather than fines for breaking the new rules.
Penalty charges will be issued from Monday.
Coun Leigh Bramall, Sheffield Council cabinet member for transport, said: “This isn’t about penalising motorists, it is about helping residents and businesses get some priority back when parking.
“For the first two weeks of the scheme we have been issuing warnings. This way people can have a chance to understand the changes and change their habits accordingly.”
