The roles, in its contact centre on Chippingham Street, Attercliffe, range from sales advisors to team managers and will support the mobile sales teams.

Interviews will be held by video cal, followed by virtual training sessions to keep staff safe.

Applicants don’t need any previous technical knowledge. Recruits will go through a six-week training and induction programme, the company says.

Rob Orr, executive director for sales, said: “By creating more UK contact centre roles, we’ll be able to give our customers a first-class service while creating new opportunities at a time when many people are looking for work.

Over the past three months, the company has created or ‘insourced’ more than 1,600 roles, he added.

It has recently recruited more than 500 contact centre staff to support customers during the Coronavirus pandemic, created roles in care and field teams and completed the insourcing of all customer-facing install and service activity, increasing its engineer workforce by more than 700, the firm says.
