Urban Outfitters has announced all its stores, including the one at Meadowhall in Sheffield, are closing as a precaution over coronavirus

The firm added that, as far as it was aware, none of its employees – who will continue to be paid during the closure – had tested positive for COVID-19.

It said stores would not reopen until at least March 28 but said that ‘because the situation is complex and evolving rapidly, our plans may change’.

Sharing the update via Twitter, it added ‘take care of yourselves’.
