TRADE union members will be out in force in Sheffield today raising awareness about a planned day of national strike action on November 30.

TUC members will take to the streets in Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford and Hull handing out leaflets.

The Regional TUC has organised four major regional rallies on November 30. The Sheffield one will take place from 12noon outside City Hall in Barker’s Pool. Others will be staged in Yorkshire in Leeds, Bradford and Hull.

A spokesman said the aim of action today is ‘to dispel the widely held myths and misconceptions around pensions and to encourage as many people as possible to show their support and solidarity’.
