Britain’s top bosses have been accused of “going back to their old tricks” after a survey of FTSE 100 companies revealed directors’ pay rose by 14 per cent last year – 20 times faster than the average.

TUC general secretary Frances O’Grady accused companies of using a switch from bonuses to long term incentives to “make their fat cats even fatter.”
