Can Sheffield top last year’s fine showing in the Institute of Directors awards?

In 2014 eco-bag company boss Julia Gash won Entrepreneur of the Year and IT firm founder Andrew Seaton won Young Director of the Year in Yorkshire and the Humber.

This year’s event is now open, with five awards up for grabs - and the ceremony is at the Hilton hotel in Sheffield on June 11.

Natalie Sykes, regional director of the IoD in Yorkshire and the Humber, said: “We are looking for applications from a diverse range of business people to demonstrate the true depth and breadth of Yorkshire business. If you are interested, I’d urge you to get in touch.”

The deadline for entries is March 26.
