Top awards for duo after mystery shopper test

Staff at Meadowhall shopping centre are celebrating after two members of the team received national awards for impressing mystery shoppers.

Wayne Windle, Meadowhall centre supervisor, and Marc Casson, Meadowhall Oasis food hall assistant, were each awarded coveted ‘Achieving Customer Excellence’ awards at the British Council of Shopping Centres’ national finals, hosted in Manchester.

Wayne and Marc received excellent reports in mystery shopper visits that formed part of the judging criteria - and were also the only duo from the same shopping centre to receive awards.

Meadowhall centre director Warren Pearce said: “This is a fantastic achievement. Wayne and Marc have consistently demonstrated excellent customer service and both individuals are a credit to their team and Meadowhall shopping centre.”

The British Council of Shopping Centres ACE Awards is the UK’s leading award programme for customer service in the retail property industry.

Now it its seventh year, it is the second year running that a Meadowhall representative has been recognised for service excellence.

Meadowhall has around 25 million shopper visits every year.
