Christian Szurko, manager at J.H. Mann, said: “We were thrilled to be asked to be involved in this brilliant 'Local Legends' campaign with British condiment staple, Colman's - especially after the difficult year J.H. Mann and many other local businesses have faced following the pandemic.

"I think the general public has been a huge help to local businesses surviving throughout the pandemic - and with people taking more of an interest in cooking again, I think it’s been brilliant.

"We are surrounded by great independent shops that have worked and are working all together to trade and we truly believe in the ‘keep it local’ saying as it works for us all.

"The pandemic has actually helped us in realising that there’s definitely a demand for smaller independent shops, so we are opening another branch in the area of Bakewell, Derbyshire and we are super excited to be opening our seafood and fish restaurant ‘NATIVE’ in Sheffield within the coming months.

"These sites will all be working within the Covid rules of course, and couldn't have been a possibility without local support.”

They were originally supposed to open ‘NATIVE’ in November 2020, but it has been pushed back due to the pandemic.

‘NATIVE’ restaurant will be located on Gibraltar Street opposite the Shakespeare’s pub and will focus on using J.H. Mann’s loved fish ingredients in a dining environment.
