Go inside new whimsical gift shop that gives Peak District town 'touch of magic'

A new nature-inspired gift shop has opened in Bakewell.

The Bramble Hollow launched in Granby Arcade selling a range of floral arrangements, gifts, crafts and home décor.

Opening the shop is a dream come true for Grace Poole who is knowns to family and friends as ‘the forage fairy.’

Grace, 33, said: “I create floral arrangements for all occasions, from weddings, workshops, to window dressing. I cover all areas.

“I own four acres of woodland which I love to forage for my arrangements.”

She added: "I'm not just a florist as my shop is also filled with handmade and unique gifts from local makers. Each chosen for its craft, charm and touch of magic.

“I wanted to fill my shops with unique gifts you couldn't just get from anywhere.”

Grace and her husband moved to Darley Dale a year ago and fell in love with their house because of the large woodland that came with it, which Grace now uses to create whimsical woodland inspired botanical arrangements.

Grace added: “I've always loved foraging and creating arrangements from things I have foraged.

"There are floral arrangements for every occasion, alongside a collection of beautiful gifts from local makers bringing something a little bit different.”

"I think it's really important to support local businesses and for us to all support each other,” she added.

"Opening this little shop in this beautiful location of Bakewell has always been a dream of mine.”
