Talking to each other is key

Unity is at the heart of both the Chamber Means Business event and success in business, says Andrew Denniff.

“The occasion started with separate events in Barnsley and Rotherham in 2012, came together last year for a joint event at Tankersley and this year we continue with a single event and a much improved format,” said the chief executive of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce.

“I extend my personal thanks to all the chamber staff for their hard work, our patrons and exhibitors for their commitment, and the overall event sponsor, Lead Forensics.

“However, the key to successful events like this are the number of visitors who take time out of their busy schedules to come along and see what the chamber and its key partners can do for them, and take the opportunity to catch up with what is happening within the local economy.

“I would encourage all our visitors to have a good look around the exhibition and also use the morning to get to know as many people as they can.

“With the economy now seemingly moving in the right direction, it is as important as it has ever been to talk to each other – get out and make as many contacts as you can.

“I and a number of chamber staff will be attending the event. If you want to find out what we can do for your business, come and see us.”
