Taking shape: Sheffield's digital campus

Electric Works - the first of five buildings forming the long-awaited Sheffield Digital Campus – is on target for completion by spring next year.

The skeleton of steelwork around which the new digital media centre will be built is already going up and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors award-winning company Creative Space Management, which will be managing the development, is confident of success.

Brendan Moffett, marketing director of city development company Creative Sheffield, says: “Electric Works will play a key role in attracting high-growth businesses to Sheffield and CSM has the innovative approach that will bring in creative companies.”

The Carey Jones Architects- designed building will provide studio and workspace for up to 450 people and conferencing facilities for up to 150.

Sheffield Digital Campus is being developed jointly by Scarborough Development Group and GMI Property Company.
