YOU’RE never too old to start your own business.
That’s the message to people over 50 with the entrepreneurial urge.
Hillsborough Job Centre is hosting a course offering financial, marketing and planning support in business creation.
Nick Bunting, CEO of The Prince’s Initiative, which is staging the course, said self-employment was a viable option.
He said: “Over 50s can utilise their skills and experience by creating their own businesses.”
The Prince’s Initiative was set up by The Prince of Wales in response to letters he was receiving from people desperate to work, but unable to find anyone to employ them because of their age.
The Preparing to Run Your Own Business Course is due to start on July 19 at Hillsborough Job Centre.
