WITH The Apprentice back on TV this week, a new survey has found that a quarter of Sheffield’s youngsters have been inspired by Lord Sugar to follow that route into a career.
The survey conducted by national training provider Lifetime highlights that the media is heavily influencing youth career choices. Lifetime urges the remaining two thirds of young adults, or those struggling to find work, to follow in the footsteps of Lord Sugar and explore their options for ‘learning on the job.’
Government-funded Apprenticeship programmes are available for 16-18 year olds, in areas such as fitness, hospitality, child care and business and administration. Lifetime programmes include a fitness instructor course and hospitality.
