Students enjoy lock-in with difference

Have your say

SHEFFIELD students are looking forward to a lock-in tonight - but for once there’ll be no drinking involved.

The event is being held at Meadowhall, where more than 80 shops will be offering discounts to thousands of undergraduates.

The centre is hoping the evening will be the region’s biggest ever student shopping event, with a party atmosphere created by live music, buskers, gaming, fashion workshops and makeovers.

The lock-in takes place between 7.30pm to 10pm with registration opening from 6.30pm onwards.

Students must take them some form of student ID.

A special bus service by First will offer students 50p single fares to and from the centre on the X78 route, which runs from Sheffield Interchange from 5pm to 11.25pm.
