Stafforce aims for £200m sales by 2020

The company has established new bases in Ipswich and Carlisle, which brings its national network to 30 on-site operations and branches.

The Rotherham-based recruitment firm has already opened six new branches this year. In January, Stafforce opened bases in Doncaster, Sheffield, Wolverhampton and Docklands in London, as more firms hired extra staff as the economic mood improved.

Director Tony Boorman said the company hoped to achieve £200m turnover by 2020. Apart from organic growth, the business recently hired Victoria Gribben to implement a mergers and acquisitions strategy.

Mr Boorman said yesterday: “Stafforce has some ambitious growth plans for the next five years..

“Last year, we turned over £66m and this year we are forecasting £81m, so there is a lot of work to do, but through the judicious targeting of areas where we can launch new branches and a strategic approach to mergers and acquisitions, everyone in the business is confident we can achieve it.”

Mr Boorman said the new branches in Ipswich and Carlisle had created six jobs, and early trading was positive. Stafforce’s Ipswich office builds on the success of an on-site operation which has been established by the recruiter at sushi manufacturer ichiban UK, in Stowmarket. Stafforce Recruitment is part of Stafforce Personnel, which was established by Nick Cragg, a chartered civil engineer, in 1977 after he became frustrated by the quality of recruitment companies supplying him with staff.
