Sheffield Technology Parks-based Learning Light sourced help and expertise for Xoolon Sports and Fitness Academy, a revolutionary internet portal designed to improve schoolchildren’s sporting prowess and lead to better targeted teaching.

The online academy provides schools with ability assessment and communication tools, bulletin space, advice on health and educational resources and a database of local facilities.

Features of the site include a sports psychology or ‘mental toughness’ test developed with Sheffield Hallam University to identify strengths and weaknesses, areas of development and which sports or positions within a team that children are best suited to.
