A Sheffield takeaway has been praised by food safety inspectors after improving hygiene standards.
Chikoo’s Takeaway on London Road has now been granted a three-star ‘satisfactory’ rating by inspectors after being told to make urgent improvements last summer.
Its July inspection resulted in a zero-star score but Sheffield Council inspectors say the business has now attained higher standards and made ‘significant improvements’ - resulting in an improved rating being granted.
Michael Bluff, principal officer for Sheffield Council’s food safety team, said: “The business was re-inspected on Wednesday, December 17. I understand that the business has made significant improvements.”
Businesses are rated by inspectors out of five for their hygiene standards.
