A young Sheffield mum and entrepreneur has been named Miss Sheffield Inspiration in recognition of her achievements.
Charlene Woracker applied for the national beauty pageant in a bid to inspire other young females to achieve personal and career goals.
The 23-year-old, from Charnock, has set up her own confectionary business while studying at Sheffield College and raising sons Lleyton, five, and Joshua, three.
She said: “I have never been interested in entering a beauty competition but this one had more purpose to it –to inspire others.
“I wanted to show that you can follow your dreams and achieve your goals in life, if you put your mind to it.”
Charlene’s application detailing how she juggles being a busy mum with studying to become a patisserie chef and running her own business Bonbon Luxe won the Miss Sheffield Inspiration title.
She will now go on to represent the area in the Miss Inspiration UK final in March.
As well as preparing for the modelling rounds of the upcoming competition, ambitious Charlene will also be getting involved in community and business events, with the aim of helping young Sheffield people achieve their goals.
“It’s not just a beauty contest, the judges look at what you’re doing to inspire others in your local area,” said Charlene.
“For as long as I can remember I have wanted to work with cakes and have baked since being a young girl.
“Becoming a mum meant I had to put my career goals on hold but now I want to show you can have children as well as the job that you want.
“I hope to take my cakes to food festivals and the ultimate aim is to have my own shop.
“I also hope to support organisations that have a big impact in Sheffield in helping to expose young people’s achievements and to inspire the youth community within the city.
Charlene added: “I would absolutely love to win the Miss Inspiration UK final and bring the title back to Sheffield.”
