Hope the helicopters pick it up on Sunday!

Torres Pumps, on Brightside Lane, Attercliffe, is flying the flag for the city after staff clambered on to the factory roof to fix up a massive ‘Made In Sheffield’ sign today.

Boss Ken Torres, a staunch supporter of manufacturing, said the wind had caused a few problems.

He added: “The eyelets were not strong enough against the wind and one tore off. But we sorted it with some steel and G-clamps and rope which did the job.

“I hope the helicopters pick it up on Sunday.”

Several choppers follow the Tour de France and as well as filming the riders, often pick up objects of interest.
