Sheffield firm launches discount marketing programme

A Sheffield marketing firm has won a contract to train 25 firms on a programme which is 80 per cent grant funded.

Shelton Associations is running the ‘Covid-19 Marketing Transformation Programme’ after winning a contract with the Sheffield City Region.

The cost per company is £1,500 but 80 per cent of the funding is from the SCR Skills Bank, reducing the cost to £300 plus VAT.

Boss Andrew Shelton said the aim was to help firms get through the crisis and emerge “fitter and stronger.”

“Historically, marketing was one on the first activities to be cut by companies trading in difficult times. This has been shown more recently to be a ‘false economy’ and that maintaining expenditure and possibly in some cases increasing it, tends to protect your current position and helps to ensure you come out of the recession better equipped to take advantage of an eventual upturn.”

The programme includes six webinars, he added.
