Intelligent Facility Solutions, based in Sheffield, which specialises in supplying high-quality, energy-efficient washroom solutions and equipment to the commercial sector, has offered to supply businesses in the city with free hand sanitiser units worth up-to £90 each.

The company, which is headed-up by local businessman, Andrew Cameron, has pledged to give away 2,500 freestanding and wall-mounted units, worth around £50,000, to companies in Sheffield and the surrounding areas.

Mr Cameron explains: “As a supplier of hygiene and washroom facilities, we’ve naturally been busy during the pandemic, which has put us in a position to lend a helping hand to other businesses, of all types and sizes, in our area to keep their staff, customers and suppliers safe.

“It’s by no means been plain sailing for us, having experienced our own struggles during the last year, but we believe that smaller businesses in Sheffield must do all they can to support each other wherever possible. This way, we can all do our bit to keep Sheffield open for business now and in the long term”

Intelligent Facilities Solutions, which is based on Don Road in the city, is well-known for its community initiatives including donating its £10k Small Business Support Grant to COVID support group charity, Self Help UK.

Andrew Cameron adds: “It’s not escaped our attention that, when allowed to open, many retailers, service providers and hospitality venues in Sheffield have been using disposable, single-use plastic bottles of hand sanitiser, which is expensive, unsustainable and inappropriate for the long-term. Hand sanitising and mask-wearing is set to be part of everyday life for a long time, and businesses have a responsibility to keep the public as safe as possible as they start to reopen and recover in the coming months. Hopefully our initiative will give their COVID-secure credentials a boost, save them some money and enable them to be more environmentally friendly in the process.” Businesses can contact [email protected] to claim their free unit while stocks last.
