FANS of the classic Harley-Davidson motorbike will be revving into South Yorkshire this weekend for a major firesale of the iconic American machines.
One of the largest ever sales of Harleys is taking place on Saturday when the assets of three showrooms go under the hammer.
The dealerships were part of Summer Retail Ltd, which went into administration last month. Administrators have appointed consultants to sell the assets by auction at a heavily discounted retail sale at the St Leger Harley-Davidson dealership, off Woodfield Way, Balby Carr, Doncaster, this Saturday.
The auction will feature around 40 used bikes, clothes and accessories, and memorabilia from film sets. Viewing takes place on Friday and the morning of sale.
Assets spokesman Robert Edwards said: “We believe this to be the biggest ever distressed sale of Harley-Davidson products. It’s a unique opportunity. We expect enthusiasts from Europe and beyond.”
