Royal Mail has announced it will employ more than 600 seasonal workers over Christmas in Sheffield.
The temporary employees will support Royal Mail’s permanent postmen and women, who sort and deliver the mail all year round.
Around 640 roles are available in the city with Royal Mail and Parcelforce, primarily to help sort the additional Christmas post, but driver positions will also be available.
Positions are available from mid-November through to early January 2016.
A spokesman for Royal Mail said: “The recruitment programme is part of Royal Mail’s substantial financial investment in additional resources at Christmas to help ensure we provide the best possible postal service to our customers throughout the UK.”
