Rotherham manufacturer JELD-WEN in £20m move to Sheffield
“It represents an important investment in the future of our UK operations”
A Rotherham manufacturer has spent £20m moving to a new factory in Sheffield.
JELD-WEN has opened at Bessemer Park at junction 34 of the M1 near Meadowhall.
The business has relocated from Retford Road, Woodhouse Mill, to a larger building with modern equipment, creating five jobs.

The American-owned business is one of the UK’s largest manufacturers of doors.
“The opening of our new Sheffield site at Bessemer Park is an exciting milestone for JELD-WEN and represents an important investment in the future of our UK operations,” said Hamish White, director of operations.
“Moving into a purpose-built facility gives our team more space, modern equipment and an environment designed around the way we operate today, while giving us greater flexibility as our customers’ needs continue to evolve.
“Throughout the transition, our priority has been to maintain the quality, reliability and service our customers expect. We have the same experienced team and commitment to our customers, but now with a facility that gives us a stronger platform for the future.”
JELD-WEN joins businesses on Bessemer Park including ITM Power, Arthrex and a BAE Systems artillery factory.
