RiDO helps small firms to exhibit

Small firms from South Yorkshire are being offered the chance to exhibit at the international manufacturing technologies exhibition, Mach 2014, at half price.

Rotherham Investment and Development Office, RiDO, is using funding from the European Union’s regional development fund to subsidise the stands, which will be close to major exhibitors such as Rolls-Royce and Siemens.

RiDO says it hope to provide some useful supply chain opportunities for companies that sign up for the event and is running a free event ahead of the show to enable companies from South Yorkshire that are attending to get to know each other and ensure they make maximum use of their time at the exhibition.

The Advanced Manufacturing research Centre’s MANTRA advanced technologies demonstration vehicle will also be at the show, along with Bloodhound SSC, the supercar which plans to raise the land speed record above 1,000 miles an hour and is being built with the help of advanced manufacturing technologies from the Sheffield City Region.
