Ale lovers will be limbering up their drinking arms in preparation for the Half Pint Marathon in Sheffield.
The month-long celebration will celebrate some of the city’s best independent beer venues while raising money for charity.
The marathon – a collaboration between Thornbridge Brewery and Forum Café Bars – invites revellers to visit 13 venues with a special card throughout May.
Once they have enjoyed a drink in each they can submit their card into a draw to win prizes including brewery tours.
The marathon aims to raise £13,000 for St Luke’s Hospice, Roundabout, Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity and Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
Kane Yeardley, Forum Café Bars managing director, said: “The Half Pint Marathon will be a great opportunity for Sheffield to get out there and support their local, independent pubs and some great causes in one go.”
Venues taking part include The Greystones, The Hallamshire House, The Stags Head, The York, The Broadfield, The Brothers Arms, The Shakespeare, Kelham Island Tavern, The Bath Hotel, The Forum, The Old House, The University Arms and The Rutland.
