Premier League football referee Howard Webb took centre stage at the new home of his beloved Rotherham United and there wasn’t a whistle or red card in sight.
He was guest speaker when Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce hosted an executive business lunch at the New York Stadium for patrons and platinum members of the Chamber.
Howard told stories from his 23-year refereeing career. He took charge of the finals of the 2010 World Cup, 2010 Champions League, 2009 FA Cup and 2007 League Cup.
He said: “It was fantastic to share my experiences.”
