Recruitment agency Elevation has joined forces with the Chartered Institute of Marketing to organise special training sessions and help people in the sales and marketing sector to move up the career ladder.

Sarah Lee Neesam, associate director for sales and marketing with Rotherham-based Elevation, says there has been a rise in demand for sales and marketing professionals in key sectors such as financial services, manufacturing and fast moving consumer goods.

She said: “The new partnership with the CIM will help us to give marketing professionals across Yorkshire the know-how and support to advance their careers and we will be giving them advice sessions on things like how to tailor their CV and how to approach interview situations when the time comes.

“As part of the partnership we will also be supporting and sponsoring a number of CIM-led events alongside keynote speakers from growing businesses across Yorkshire – another great opportunity for students to learn what it takes to make it in the industry.”

Chartered Institute of Marketing network manager Diane Earles said: “We are really pleased to be working with Elevation to support marketers in Yorkshire.

“This partnership shows both parties’ commitment to developing marketers in the region and we are grateful for this support from a local business. We look forward to a successful autumn season with Elevation Recruitment.”

As part of the new collaboration Elevation will also host training sessions for students from the region’s major regional universities.
