DIY giant B&Q has chosen Sheffield-based safety wear specialist Progressive Safety to supply stores nationwide.

The deal follows a collaboration deal unveiled last year between Attercliffe-based Progressive and JCB to create a range of stylish yet durable of protective jackets, trousers, T-shirts and other workwear and accessories, bearing the earthmoving equipment specialist’s brand.

Progressive’s JCB branded workwear is now being made available at B&Q stores and the timing couldn’t be better, according to managing director Howard Topham.

“The listing in B&Q comes as we start our summer marketing and advertising campaign targeting the farming and agricultural communities.

“We are continuously researching and developing new products and expect new additions to be added to the range this summer,” said Mr Topham, speaking at Progressive’s Worthing Road headquarters and store.
