Young entrepreneurs are invited to attend a special event to promote the creation of new products.

The sixth annual Startup Weekend will bring people together to launch new products and services that aim to solve problems and meet needs in the literature and music industries.

Attendees will be a combination of designers, entrepreneurs, artists and creative problem solvers. They will be invited to pitch ideas on the Friday night, build teams and then work all weekend on bringing their concept to life by speaking to customers, identifying potential revenue streams and building the product. The teams will also have access to coaches and mentors with a wide range of experience and on Sunday evening, will present their literature startups to a panel of judges. The the University of Sheffield-organised event takes place at the Enterprise Zone in Portobello between Friday, June 26, and Sunday, June 28.
