Post office modernisation should mean less waiting

A Barnsley post office has been revamped as part of a national multi-million pound investment scheme.

The branch on Pitt Street now has three self-serving kiosks _ in a bid to cut down on queues –and an open plan layout.

Regional manager Martin Rouse said: “This modernisation programme is ensuring customers are served in a more modern retail space, and the changes mean increased convenience and greater service options.”

The newly refurbishment branch also has a dedicated mails counter which should mean a shorter wait in line for customers.
