Proposals to open a bar for Sheffield’s Polish community are set to be considered at a meeting of Sheffield council’s licensing board.

The scheme is set to be considered at a meeting of the committee on Tuesday.

Justina Maciejewska, of Westland Gardens, Westfield, has applied for a licence to open premises on London Road as Bar Ambassador.

The bar would be open between noon and 11.30pm daily Mondays to Fridays and 10am and 11.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Music would be played during opening hours and the plans also involve being able to show Polish films between 4pm and 8pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.

No major objections have been received although the applicant has been asked to ensure under 25s are asked for ID when buying alcohol.
