Clare Plant has left DLP Planning after six years and joined York-based nineteen47. She will head up its new Sheffield office, in Acero on Sheaf Street.
The company offers planning and urban design services as well as 3D images, flythroughs and virtual reality. It already has clients in South Yorkshire and Clare will lead the team working on them, and as well as new business.
At DLP she rose to director, overseeing offices in Leeds and Sheffield and leading teams on developments for landowners, housebuilders, including Taylor Wimpey, and commercial investors.
She said she was thrilled to have the chance to establish the Sheffield office.
She added: “Despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, the development and property sector in Sheffield continues to be buoyant, not least due to the housing shortage being experienced across the country.
“The continuing opportunities presented by development and regeneration sites in Sheffield presents significant potential for the delivery of a wide range of housing, employment and community uses across the city.
“Opening a new office now reflects the positive outlook that we continue to hold in the city’s future and shows our commitment to supporting the prosperity of the development sector in the city as we transition out of the pandemic.”
Founding director of nineteen47, Jamie Pyper, added: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Clare to the team and to open an office in Sheffield which is buzzing with growth in the planning and development sectors.”
The firm also has an office near Newstead Abbey in Nottinghamshire.
