DONCASTER is suffering more rail problems - with services from the borough to London hit by disruption.
Overhead power lines came down at St Neots, meaning the East Coast mainline could run all the way to London yesterday morning, as engineers worked to try to fix the problem.
Around 200 passengers were stranded at Kings Cross Station on Tuesday night when the problem first emerged.
Replacement bus services were brought in, and a limited service was added later.
Network Rail was still expecting services to be disrupted today.
Passengers posted their frustrations on Twitter yesterday. Former Doncaster College officer Matt Needham posted: “Nightmare travel day so far. Now cancelling my trip to London due to @eastcoastuk’s problems.”
Network Rail apologised for what it described as ‘significant disruption caused during the morning rush hour’.
