Leading green energy company NWS has become the first UK company to offer free biomass boiler installations to commercial users and householders.

Tankersley-based NWS – formerly Nationwide Solar – has teamed up with Austrian biomass heating systems manufacturer KWB to provide 1,000 biomass wood pellet boilers and £200 of free fuel for every installation.

The company will also be offering the boilers for sale to people who want to take advantage of the Government’s Renewable Heat Incentive. The Incentive operates on similar lines to the Feed In Tariff, which was the foundation of NWS’s business, making it economically viable for the company to install solar panels for free on many properties.

Managing director Russ Cowan said: “We are really excited about being the first company to offer FREE biomass boiler installations to customers.

“Instead of paying ever increasing prices for their energy bills, customers can now take advantage of a more sustainable source of energy that saves the planet, whilst also saving them money.

“All properties with boiler systems which are inefficient or costly to run can benefit from this superb way to heat a home.

“Due to the Government’s Renewable Heat Incentive being introduced this spring for domestic properties, we are expecting a significant amount of interest in these new boilers and we are geared up to meet demand.

“The RHI will create fantastic opportunities for people to benefit from the world’s first long-term financial support programme for renewable heat.”
