John Spencer, director of Spencers Solicitors, the Chesterfield law firm that specialises in representing claimants in personal injury cases, has won a top accolade at the Personal Injury Awards.
Mr Spencer won the Outstanding Achievement Award – the only award for which candidates cannot nominate themselves as the decision is solely in the hands of the judging panel, made up of 12 leading figures from the sector.
Dr Harry Brünjes, chairman of the judging panel, said Mr Spencer had won the award for campaigning tirelessly on behalf of injured people seeking justice.
Dr Brünjes highlighted his work for the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and the Motor Accident Solicitors Society, his appearances before the House of Commons Transport Select Committee considering the cost of motor insurance and his many media appearances.
Mr Spencer said: “I’m honoured to have won this award which was a complete surprise given that it’s at the discretion of the judges.
“The award is really for everyone at Spencers Solicitors who daily defend the rights of victims with such professionalism and dedication. I offer my hearty congratulations to all the other winners.” Spencers serves clients across the United Kingdom and specialises in some of the most serious and complex personal injury cases, including catastrophic road and workplace injuries and cases involving clinical negligence.
