Scores of properties on the books of estate agents Blundells are to open their doors to potential buyers and tenants in one new open house weekend.
The event, on Saturday and Sunday September 14 and 15, will include up to 200 properties holding open viewings.
The aim is to help more buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants complete sales, let properties or rent homes.
Steve Hinshelwood, managing director at Blundells, said: “Activity levels typically tend to dip during the summer as people focus on their holidays. But that hasn’t happened this year, and instead the recent upturn in the housing market is maintaining people’s interest in buying or renting a property.
“We expect this trend to continue into the autumn, with an influx of buyers and tenants keen to move before Christmas.”
He added: “It will be the perfect chance for home movers to see the widest selection of properties within one weekend at a time that is convenient for them, rather than different appointments scattered over days or weeks, which can often make the process much longer.”
