A new Sheffield training centre is holding an open day on Thursday, February 5 – with railway campaigner and music mogul Pete Waterman and MP Angela Smith the special guests.
The national academy specialising in rail industry telecommunications, power and signalling is based at Provincial Park, Ecclesfield, and run by Linbrooke Services.
The centre aims to recruit 100 apprentices during 2015 including ex-servicemen on Ministry of Defence resettlement programmes.
It will also offer City and Guilds accredited customised courses run by experienced, predominantly ex-military members of staff and former services recruits.
The open day runs from 11am until 2pm, at the centre on Nether Lane.
