Sarah McKeown, who in her younger years used to deliver The Star around the streets of Halfway, and dreamt of appearing on its pages, has achieved her goal having successfully launched her innovative initiative.

Sarah, aged 33 of Parsons Cross, launched Just JimJams back in September – a business which organises children's sleepover parties with dens and teepees.

She explained: “Obviously with the lockdown, my business is on pause until restrictions are lifted but I am busy researching and trying to adapt my business to suit this new post-coronavirus world we will be living in.

“I know kids region-wide will be desperate for something different to do - and I do think that this will be ideal in the 'new normal'.”

She continued: “I know it's unprecedented for everyone, but the younger generation have been so brave and understanding, I just can't wait to give something back.

“So far I've been loving creating these beautiful, unique sleepover parties.

“The children have loads of themes to choose from - ranging from under the sea with the mermaids to camping under the stars in army fatigues - and so much more in between.”

Her new idea for whatever comes next after the lockdown is to embrace the outdoors but from the safety of your own garden.

She is looking at parties in the open air with a teepee, a tea party and crafts with fun and games.

Sarah currently has two competitions running for children, and big kids, to enjoy in the lockdown and beyond . She explained: “ If your kids are getting restless and needing something new to focus on - why not get them to design their own sleepover party?”

People are invited to upload their designs to Just JimJams Facebook page – www.facebook.com/justjimjams - to be in with the chance to win a den for the night.

The business has also teamed up with @rhymeandreason_books and @rhyme.reason.illustration to give a colouring sheet for little ones to do.

Everyone that completes this will be put into a draw for a prize. Visit https://justjimjams.wixsite.com/website
