More than a dozen new homes are to be built on a former industrial site in Sheffield.

Coda Planning has been granted planning permission, on behalf of City Estates, for 14 homes on the site at Finchwell Road and Quarry Road, Handworth.

The properties will be a mixture of three bedroom town houses and semi-detached and detached homes.

Adam Murray, Coda planning director, was delighted permission had been granted by Sheffield Council.

He said: “It is hoped the proposal will go to site very soon, which will create a number of short term construction jobs.

“The proposal when built will create a vibrant new development on an old derelict site which is currently an eyesore.”
