Atrendy continental cafe and patisserie opening in Sheffield will create 25 jobs.
Patisserie Valerie will take over the old Early Learning Centre shop at 11 Barkers Pool, selling continental breakfasts, lunches, wedding cakes and offering a catering service.
The firm has expanded beyond its London base, opening 13 cafes this year. The Sheffield outlet will be the 50th.
It is the third new jobs announcement this week after Rice Flamebar and Grill opened in Meadowhall and Kraft said it was creating 60 biscuit-making jobs at its Owlerton factory.
Patisserie Valerie’s chief executive, Paul May, said: “Despite the current climate of doom and gloom, we have been able to bring investment and new jobs to the UK’s high streets.
“If anything, the enthusiasm of the public has taken us by surprise so we have continued to look for high quality shopping venues.”
It opens on December 17.
