A financial services firm which recently moved into new premises has appointed three equity partners.

PwC, which delivers tax and advisory services for businesses, has taken up a new premises at St Paul’s in Sheffield.

Karen Finlayson and Dan Burke both joined the South Yorkshire partnership on July 1, having been promoted from director.

Karen has been with the firm’s audit practice in Yorkshire for the last 18 years and is the regional leader for internal audit and health across the north.

Dan joins the practice from London where he has worked in the firm’s government and public sector team for the last 15 years.

He is an expert in outcome based health commissioning models and in his new role will be working closely with Karen to support the firm’s healthcare clients across the north.

In addition to the promotions, partner Ian Plunkett, has joined the South Yorkshire practice from PwC Abu Dhabi, where he led the assurance practice. He has over 25 years’ experience working with private, government and listed clients, and will now be focused on the region’s fast growing, larger private businesses.

In addition, Kevin Strauther has been promoted to director. Director Dan Sheahan has also joined the Sheffield team to head up its corporate finance offering.
