Transport specialist DBL Logistics has opened a £2 million warehouse in Sheffield with assistance from HSBC Bank.

DBL’s Huntsman Depot, on Tinsley Park Road, gets its name from Benjamin Huntsman, who invented Crucible Steel in the 1700s and had a factory where the depot now stands.

Managing director David Clarkson, whose parents, Bert and Linda, founded the company 10 years ago, said: “The Huntsman Depot will be our first independently owned building since we launched the company. It will double our capacity to 6,000 pallets and support the company’s continued growth. We have further plans to expand the site.’’
