Neilson Hydraulics & Engineering is expanding, taking on additional space and new apprentices.
The company, based at the Poplars Business Park in Catcliffe, has set up a new hydraulics and electronics assembly area, test rig, clean area and hydraulic and electrical service department after acquiring an additional unit.
Neilson has also recruited Josh Rhodes as a mechanical engineering apprentice and Josh Doe as an electrical engineering apprentice.
Director Norman Opie said: “As we expand the business, it is important that we have young apprentices coming through who are eager to learn and develop their careers in the hydraulics and engineering industry.
“Youth unemployment is very high at present, as a local business we wanted to provide employment for two new Apprentices who really want to learn the trade.”
Neilson Hydraulics designs and manufactures hydraulic systems and cylinders and supplies hydraulic components to companies in the construction, engineering, farming, materials handling, marine, plastics, recycling and steel industries.
