National Metals Technology Centre chief executive, Dr Alan Partridge, is leaving the Rotherham-based organisation to join Rolls-Royce’s Engineering and Technology Division, where he will take on a global role with responsibility for supply chain development, quality and in-service fleet support.

Dr Partridge said: “I am very proud of what NAMTEC has achieved over the last few years, and the benefit it has brought to many companies throughout the UK supply chain. I look forward to working closely with NAMTEC, as it further develops its portfolio of commercial services.”

NAMTEC chairman, Martin Havenhand, said: “I am delighted for Alan that he has secured such a senior position in one of the UK’s leading global companies.

“Alan is a consummate professional who has risen to the many challenges that NAMTEC has faced during the seven years he has been chief executive. He can be proud of his achievements and the added value he has provided to the industry.”
